Jasper National Park, less popular brother of Banff National Park, located in the province of Alberta. Since 1907, a national park and is also the largest national park in the Canadian Rockies. It has a volume of 11,000 km2, of which is almost 97% conservation area. It has a large network of hiking / biking trails.
Mainly visited by Europeans between June and September, but also in the winter a visit worth. But you will face very cold temperatures, especially in the months of January and February. It's very populair for skiing at Mammoth Basin.
It is easy to reach from Edmonton and Calgary but also from neighbour British Columbia.
